won 19-17 against a very physical Tring side. Lucky Mentalist did not play or else there would have been fireworks....... It was classic Hampstead - small pack, quick backs against some big brutes from the countryside.

We scored a try in the 1st 5 mins (Meads) then Rubber got a drop goal to make it 8-0. Tring bounced back strongly and were 12-8 up with 20 mins to go. Rubber scored a penalty to make it 12-11. Then we scored a try (Van Bosch on his debut) in the corner with 5mins to go to make it 12-16. Rubber in effect clinched the game with another drop goal and Tring scored a try in the last minute to make it 19-17. Conversion from touchline to tie but it fell just short...........
